The Artist behind Southern Wolf

My name is Jessi, or some of you may know me as Almost Australian.

I have a strong background in both art and animals, and a passion for taxidermy - a trade which has managed to incorporate both of my loves.

I am a self-taught taxidermist located in the beautiful state of Tennessee, and I specialize in the art of soft-sculpture taxidermy.

Soft sculpture (also called soft mount or plush mount) is where the head of the animal is mounted over a typical taxidermy form while the rest of the body is plushed and remains floppy - allowing for better portability, removing the confines of traditional hard mounts, and most importantly... providing extreme cuddlability!

You can find by my gallery that I specialize in wolves, but I also accept critters of all kinds.

My main goal is to be able to take the taxidermy off of the walls and put it into your arms without having to pay high dollar for a traditional hard mount.  I place special care into each and every animal I handle, and I would be proud to give new life to your precious pelts. Because after all...
